Trinity Volleyball is Focused on Consistent Improvement

Trinity Volleyball continued their season-opening stretch of road games taking on Penn State Hazleton on Thursday night.  While both teams were filled with first-year student-athletes,  the home team had an advantage with the crowd on their side. The Tigers improved from their first contest but were unable to secure the win. “The team played so much better,” Head Coach Lakia Meriwether said. “The goal is keep improving every day and every game.”

The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to St. Mary’s College of Maryland for a tri-match, game times are 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

Tigers show grit and positivity in season opening loss

Trinity Volleyball traveled to take on a consistent local competitor, Washington Adventist. The Tigers fought hard but were unable to taste victory. Despite the loss, Head Coach Lakia Meriwether was very positive as she spoke about the team and their efforts after the match. “As a new team, we have to work on building trust in each other. I was very impressed with the grit and positivity of Joselin Soriano-Herrera and Danet Harris. The goal is for the entire team to display that same tenacity when things get tough. Once the team starts to gel together, the possibilities are endless.”

Trinity Volleyball returns to action on Thursday, September 8th as they travel to Penn State Hazleton.
