Christa Burgess was promoted from Athletic Coordinator to Assistant Athletic Director. Christa was the main point of contact for Trinity Athletics during the Fall 2021 semester and played a major role in the day-to-day operations. In her new role, Christa will add a Strength and Conditioning component that will be extremely beneficial for our student-athletes. She will start with spring conditioning and weight training for our tennis and softball teams. We are excited to see how these new aspects have a positive impact on our student-athletes.
After the long wait, we hired Nicole Schrader as our Head Athletic Trainer and we are very excited to have her on board. We are looking forward to Nicole’s expertise and her experience with modern practices in Athletic Training. Nicole will be extremely beneficial as we continue to adapt to life after the pandemic. She has experience facilitating COVID testing and has implemented tools and techniques to focus on the mental health of student-athletes.

June 29, 2021 –
473 days ago today, Trinity Athletics suddenly cancelled their spring seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cancellations were extended through the 2020-2021 academic year to ensure that the safety of our students, faculty and staff was the number one priority.
We are thrilled to declare that we will return to play for the Fall 2021 semester. It’s been a long time coming but we are excited about our student-athletes returning to campus! We are working through some specifics to ensure that health and safety continue to be our top priority. In order to have a successful return, our student-athletes need to be vaccinated and must provide the proper verification.
Trinity will require everyone to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to coming on campus for the Fall 2021 semester. Use this form to provide proof of vaccination or to request a religious or medical exemption if you have not already done so.
Soccer and volleyball practices are scheduled to begin in late August, with official competitions starting in early September. We are scheduled to complete full seasons and we look forward to building off of the momentum we created during the pandemic. Our coaches worked tirelessly recruiting, to make sure that when we came back we would be ready to compete. Additionally, our administration and staff introduced several new initiatives that we plan to continue as we help our student-athletes prepare for success in the classroom, on the court or field and beyond.
We are going to appreciate this opportunity to compete and be reunited; we will enjoy every aspect of athletics from a whole new perspective!
