Director of Athletics – Tracy Renken
Tracy Renken has spent the last four years dedicating herself to Trinity Athletics. Under her leadership, Trinity has achieved unprecedented success both on the field and in the classroom. Trinity teams have produced 22 Association of Division III Independents All-Conference players in the last three years including the 2009 Soccer player of the year, Kiauna Hemsley and Coach of the Year, Beth Stone. In addition, Renken led Trinity basketball to their best season in the history of the program in 2011-12. With a 14-9 record, several all-conference selections and the NCAA Division III leader in steals per game (Christa Burgess), Renken was named 2011-12 Association of Division III Independents Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year. She has also been instrumental to the success of Trinity student-athletes in the classroom. In the last two years, Trinity athletes have kept an overall GPA above a 3.0 with several athletes achieving Dean’s List.
Following a standout career at Central Michigan University, Renken served as an assistant women’s basketball coach after graduating. As a Division I student-athlete, she received several athletic honors as a four-year starter for the women’s basketball team. Scoring more than 1,300 points in her career, she became the fifth all-time career-scoring leader and was a three-time Mid-American All-Conference player. Renken has also worked in the athletic marketing department at Michigan State University and was the radio/television color commentator for the MSU women’s basketball team.
Renken is an active member with the National Association of Collegiate Women’s Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) in addition to the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association (WBCA).
