Tracey Renken

In the past four years, Tracy Renken has led Trinity basketball to unprecedented success in the history of the program. In 2011-12, after producing a program best 14-9 record, several all-conference se
lections and the NCAA Division III leader in steals per game (Christa Burgess), Renken was named 2011-12 Ass
ociation of Division III Independents Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year.At Central Michigan
University, Renken served as an assistant women’s basketball coach after graduating. As a Division I student-athlete, she received several athletic honors as a four-year starter for the women’s basketball team. Scoring more than 1,300 points in her career, she became the fifth all-time career-scoring leader and was a three-time Mid-American All-Conference player. Renken has also worked in the athletic marketing department at Michigan State University and was the radio/television color commentator for the MSU women’s basketball team.
Renken is actively involved in the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association (WBCA) as well as the National Association of Women’s Athletics Administrators (NACWAA).
Kim Atkinson
Assistant Coach
Kim Atkinson, a native of Cleveland, OH, also joins Trinity for her fourth season. Kim has a BA in Psychology from Cornell University and a Masters degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University. Kim works for Horton’s Kids, a nonprofit that provides services to DC’s most underprivileged children. Prior to coming to Trinity, Kim was the head coach at Paul Public Charter School in DC.
