Tigers Forward, Londyn Wooten

After struggling through a lengthy losing streak the Tigers brought home a win Friday, February 3, 2018. The Tigers comeback win against Mid-Atlantic Christian University (6-14) was thrilling to watch! The Tigers battled from behind most of the game. In the 3rd quarter with 2:21 left the score was 41-58 with MACU holding the lead. The tigers began to swing the ball more effectively on offense and tightened up their man to man defense. This led to a 4th quarter lead of 68-59 with 3:15 on the clock. The last 12 minutes of the game the Tigers went on a 39-15 run to seal the deal against MACU.

The win against MACU was not only a team success but an individual achievement for many of the Trinity players. Four Tigers surpassed their career highs during Friday night’s game! Senior, Zuri Well posted a career high double-double scoring 21 point and 18 rebounds. Freshman, Londyn Wooten also posted a career high double-double with 16 point and 16 rebounds. Jayla Brown-Thomas scored a career high 16 points. Last but not least Junior, Alyssa King scored a career high 18 points.

The Tigers plan to capitalize on the win and take this momentum into their next game on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at University of Valley Forge!
