Tigers Push Past Crusaders

Washington, DC- The Trinity Tigers pulled off a victory last night against the Christendom winning 61-59. The win breaks a three game losing streak for the Tigers.

Alyssa King led the Tigers in points with 18, nine of those coming from three pointers. King also added 2 rebounds and one steal. Kiana Graves tallied 16 points, six rebounds, two blocks, three steals and an assist.

Trinity senior captain Blessing Hayes posted a double-double earning an incredible 18 rebounds and 12 points. Hayes also added seven steals, eight assists and a block.

Trinity started off rocky ending the first quarter down by 14 points. The Tigers picked up speed second quarter trailing by only six at halftime. Second half the Tigers came out strong outscoring the Crusaders 37-29, which turned out to be enough to pull off the victory.

The Tigers return to action at home against Mid Atlantic Christian University Friday, February 3rd with a 7pm tip-off.
