Soccer Falls to Johnson & Wales

Abla16Washington, DC- The Trinity DC women’s soccer team fell to Johnson & Wales (NC) 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Doris Ayala scored for the Tigers in the 35th minute off a pass from Saahirah Brown. The JWU defense allowed Brown to walk the end line before a quick tap over to Ayala for the goal.

Danielle Doyle and Lana Truese had a pair of goals for Johnson & Wales. Truese added assists on both Doyle goals.

Johnson & Wales finished with an 11-3 advantage in shots while Trinity had the edge in corner kicks, 3-2.

In goal, Eboni Hibbert and Helen Woolf combined to make four saves.

The Tigers return to action this Wednesday at 4pm against Lincoln University for their Breast Cancer Awareness Game.
