Trinity Falls to Hollins 2-1

MonicaWashington, DC —The Trinity soccer team fell to Hollins, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon.

Hollins scored in the 65th minute on a Darien Cook goal after a corner kick by Alexis McDonough. In the 70th minute, McDonough added Hollins’ second goal of the day off an assist by Cook.

Trinity cut the deficit in the 75th minute of a goal by Monica Amaya after she put a dribbler past Hollins keeper Hannah Armstrong.

Trinity maintained possession for most of the contest and finished with a 16-5 advantage in shots.

Eboni Hibbert made two saves on four shots and Armstrong made six saves.

Monica Amaya led the Tigers with four shots on goal.

The Tigers will travel to take on Christendom on Tues., Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
