Trinity Earns First Win of the Season

Washington, DC- The Trinity Washington University tennis team bounced right back after Thursday’s Randolph Macon loss with their first victory of the season over Bryn Athyn College 9-0 on Saturday.

Gabrielle Clary and Yashoda Premysler dominated their first doubles flight 8-0. At the second doubles flight, seniors Shari King and Ashley Archibald won 8-3. Freshman Gwynne Arias and Patrice Sykes took the third doubles flight 8-0.

Yashoda Premysler won her  singles match 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Gabrielle Clary dominated her match winning 6-0, 6-1. Armani McCoy  went to a third set and came out victorious 1-6, 6-2, and 10-4. Senior Shari King won her singles match 6-3, 6-0.  Patrice Sykes and Ashley Archibald matched in singles scores, both winning 6-1, 6-0.

The tennis team will play Baltimore City Community College at home Tuesday, March 24th at 3:30pm.
