Washington, DC-Ashley Brown set the table for an impressive offensive performance as she paced all players with 17 points.  Shelby Swan chipped in 11 points as Dominique Meriedy and Christa Burgess each scored 9 points.   Dominique Meriedy led the team in rebounds with 12 and Thamar Polynice in steals with 5.

The Tigers pulled away from the Phoenix in the 10th minute of the first half and never looked back; keeping the lead for the rest of the game. The Tigers shot 32.4 percent from the floor in the 1st half and 50 percent from the line.  They came back second half and squelched Wilson’s hope of a comeback by shooting 41.2 percent from the floor and 77.8 percent from the line.  The Tigers defense held their counterparts to 27.7 percent from the floor.

Trinity converted their athleticism into a 47-28 rebounding advantage and a 30-10 bulge in points in the paint.

Polynice’s 5 steals will help her in the NCAA Div III rankings; as she is currently ranked no. 8 in the nation.

Trinity will return to action at home Thursday, February 7th at 7pm.
