Three in a Row…
The Trinity Tigers posted an impressive victory Friday night beating the Patriots from Valley Forge College 61-52. The Tigers were up 8 at the half but slowly watched the Patriots erase that lead and at the 13 minute mark tied the game at 39. With 3 minutes left in the game Christa Burgess hit a key jumper giving the Tigers a 3 point lead. With 1:30 left Shelby Swann hit both of her free throws to secure the win for the Tigers.
Freshman guard Shelby Swann led the Tigers with 15 points, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Senior forward Bree Martin followed with 14 points. Junior guard Thamar Polynice had 9 assists and 4 steals. The Tigers are now 9-2. The Tigers hit the road Monday to take on the Seagulls from Salisbury University.
