Owens receives Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week award
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Trinity Washington University senior forward Danielle Owens (Washington, D.C.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women’s basketball Player of the Week. In a pair of games on the week, Owens averaged 16.5 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest en route to her third and fourth double-double on the year. She tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds and three steals on Dec. 2 against Lancaster Bible and followed that performance with and 14-point, 12-rebound outing against Valley Forge on Dec. 4.
